December 2008, My Busiest Month!

They say, the Philippines has the longest celebration of Christmas wherein we, Filipinos, celebrate it from September to January.
Most of students wait for the Christmas vacation so they can do their thing like what I do. As I had written an article entitled Busiest Week, I declare this month of December the busiest month. I recalled the moments I had this month and I have noticed that I have been committed to different activities.
After my activity last December 12, I was busy doing my projects in A. P. and Mathematics which I’ve passed last December 15 and 17. We, the counterparts of school teachers and staff, were so lucky not to take the remedial examination in most of our subjects.
Our Christmas party was held on the 18th day of the month. I was busy that day though. After the party, I went to SM Megamall and I skated on ice with my friends….and all by myself. After the ice skating, I went to Booksale to look for some books. I also wandered that day just to see anything. I have learned that it was the premiere night of Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat. I didn’t see personally all the actors and actresses who attended the first showing of the movie but I saw Zanjoe Marudo together with Mariel Rodriguez and Maricar de Mesa together with her basketball player husband. During the wait for the artists, I went to Astroplus and looked for some VCDs and DVDs. I bought Fantastic 4 and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Witch, The Lion, and The Wardrobe which I liked best.
The next day, I’ve patiently waited for my groupmates in Filipino to do our project but nobody came.
On the 20th day of December, I went to Bataan then came back to Manila the next day but I left my charger. My aunt came to Divisoria, Manila with my charger to buy there.
That same day, I went to SM Mall of Asia alone and I watched the Crissa Dance Contest wherein my friends were participants representing our school. Unfortunately, they didn’t make it to win. For me, their performance that time was not good enough compare to their last performances.
On the eve of December 24, I met my classmates at Julie’s Bakeshop for our Christmas Carol. We had collected 2270 pesos. Most of my classmates including me, welcomed the Christmas on the street (and that was our first time).
On Christmas day, I stayed in our home then attended the Christmas mass together with my family. After the mass, we opened our gifts placed under our Christmas tree.
I was invited to attend a birthday party the next day. I went to Ma. Diochel Basalo’s house and I learned from Mark Anthony Bajo and Kin Erick Somera that Juan Lorenzo Ortega invited them to attend their family Christmas trip. Knowing that Elma Tondo, Amee Florence Payno, and Lorenzo Perillio wouldn’t come, I voluntarily told them that I would come. I also went to Lara Maglaque’s house and we drank there.
The next day, I went to Ortegas house late though I woke up early in the morning. Only Bagj, Kin, and I joined Ortegas’ Christmas trip at Batangas. We were very happy indeed. I had met Jurenz' relatives there and had fun with them. I came back to Manila the next evening.
Yesterday, I stayed in our house and did wash my clothes.
In this moment, I am busy typing at the computer café then after this, I will be going to SM Megamall to buy another gifts.

Busiest Week

This is the busiest week I ever had in my life. I wasn’t able to post an entry last week because I was and I am very busy.
Last Monday, the SSC held an activity which aims to showcase students’ talents through Inter-Club/Org Christmas Presentation.
Last Tuesday and Wednesday, I acted as an English Coordinator for our school’s annual activity – Boys and Girls Week. I am included at the top students in fourth year that’s why my other nine classmates and I were given a position by our beloved principal, Dr. Ma. Cecelia A. Garay – we acted as a management.
Last Thursday morning, the SSC held the teachers’ day of our school, our teachers were happy. My adviser, Ms. Grizelda Buenaventura Roxas, looked like a “kawawa” one because my classmates didn’t give their gifts to her as soon as they could (as a part of their ‘presentation’) and because of this, it made me cry. I was pity for her – I had mixed emotions after that. Mrs. Lopez told us that the ‘plays’ she had assigned us to act will be done on January instead of next week. I had received an invitation afterwards to attend the recognition day held Thursday afternoon, organized by the Guidance Council together with the Peer Council.
Yesterday morning, I acted as a child sitter together with the other students of our school. It was a Christmas celebration with the street children organized by Family Council, Supreme Student Council, and Peer Council. I was with Biboy, my ‘alaga’. We had fun. He has become famous because ma’am Garay gave him a reward for he sung the Philippine National Anthem good unlike the others. Because of him, I remembered Carlito whom I taught how to dance when he was in grade 1 and I was in grade 4. Yesterday afternoon, the SSC took charged the selling of bottles and cans in response to our project, BOTE MO, IALAY MO. We’ve waited so long for the truck to get the bottles. Jerwin Tablizo, Bernadette Bundang, Camille Nagaño, Roxanne Mataguihan, and I rode the truck to get the money. We imagined that we were in a motorcade despite the bad smelling bottles. We had fun riding at the truck. We had 936 pesos, we spent 35 pesos for the transportation going back to the school so we have 901 pesos now. When we were back, we went to the office of the director and reported to our club advisers. We had discussed stories regarding how the teachers teach.
I am now in front of PC for our project in A.P. and Mathematics to be passed on December 15 and 17.

The Mysterious Death of Marky Cielo

I was surprised when I heard the news last Sunday, after Manny ‘Pacman” Pacquiao’s Dream Match, that Mark Angelo Cielo a.k.a. Marky Cielo has passed away with a mysterious reason. According to the news, he was found by his mother in their house at Antipolo lying in the floor, her mother took him to the hospital but he was declared ‘dead on arrival’.
There are some stories came out regarding Marky’s sudden death. They say, he committed suicide, he had a nightmare but nobody can prove these theories.
According to my reliable source, she heard Marky’s mom interview at SiS saying,”hindi ko alam kung pa’no namin malalampasan ang problemang ‘to sa ginawa ni Marky…”. The word was GINAWA which means what he DID. Can you do the nightmare? So it means that he had committed suicide. Apparently, that as the first assumption of my source but another issue had come up.

LJ Reyes has been involved with Marky Cielo. After the LJ Reyes-Alfred Vargas break-up, we heard the news that LJ was committed with the grandson of Henry Sy. According to the issue, LJ agreed to be courted by Marky for a reason that she might have broken with her boyfriend. Another is, LJ and Marky had a relationship. In this case, we can say that Marky might not committed suicide instead, he was killed. The question is, who killed him?...
You may guess who was he or she.

My Blog... My Blog... My Blog...

It’s been two weeks already since I signed up here. The primary reason why I registered here is because of an article I have read on our English workbook – an open letter to our leaders written by Bong Austero – he is the reason why I am typing an entry for my blog now in front of PC in a computer shop. He is the one I ‘blame’ for all of these things. I like what he had written there – the thing he was pointing out, there is also a word in that article I can’t forget and I used to say in my mind although, it has nothing to do with me – the word flabbergasted (I wonder why I didn’t find this word in the New Handy Webster Dictionary of my mother but I found it in my Longman Dictionary). Austero’s article influenced me to make a page like his.
Another reason is that I practise myself in constructing correct English grammar (actually, I am an advocate of Philippine Linguistics which aims to feed Filipinos minds to use correct tagalog words to construct correct tagalog grammar) in preparation to the course I will be taking up after my high school (AB Mass Communication; BSE major in
English).
